Draugen or a story about how a wanderer between the stars has survived by a thought in the Norwegian fjords.
In the yard 1926. Young scientist Edward Harden, accompanied by a perky and restless girl named Lisissa, arrives from the United States of America to a small village on a tiny Norwegian island Gvik.
Somewhere here, the sister of Edward, incomparable Elizabeth or simply Betty, mysteriously disappeared. But this is still half a worm! Because after Betty disappeared, disappeared and in some incomprehensible way, people who lived on the island have sunk into oblivion. It seems that recently Edward corresponded from one of the local women to find out at least something about her sister and agree on an overnight stay. And so he swam over the Atlantic, sailed on a lonely boat to the island, stepped to the shore, walked along with Lisi around the village, but never met a single living soul.
What a misfortune happened to the American woman who looked into the Norwegian province? Why did she visit the island? And what, in the end, happened? Is it really in a quiet whirlpool who dared to kill Betty? Or the fault of an accident? We have at all at least one chance to find a sister alive or all hopes and efforts are in vain? And what happened to the village? Where and how the islanders perished? And what can be the connection between the tragedy of the island of the GOVIK and the grief of the inconsolable brother?
In general, the matter is serious and, in a good https://richyreelscasino.uk/ way, there is nothing to do on a bill. An adult, reasonable, responsible person and a respectable citizen is simply obliged to retreat, sail to the great land to call the police officers to help. The layman should do this, but … the brother loves his sister too much to leave, giving way to another, abandoning a crazy, ghostly chance to find answers not once, but right here and now!
Plot.
Do you think Draugen is a detective? Perhaps Edward will try himself in the role of Sherlock Holmes, and Lisi will become Dr. Watson and, no matter what happens on the island, we are waiting for a classic scheme with leisurely and unhurried search for evidence, deduction with a subsequent breakdown of the cover from secrets collected from large and small fragments. Secrets, which hid in itself the seemingly incomprehensible, but actually simple, elementary and, of course, terrible answer to all kinds of questions about vices and errors that have givened the tragedy. And maybe you are waiting for a horror movie, more and more inexplicable paranormal phenomena and evidence of curses to the seventh knee? Perhaps, in the disappearance of Betty and all to one islanders, it is not a person to blame, but the devil himself or some terrible demon called up by a monstrous cult from the mine, thanks to which the island lived and developed? Perhaps in the final the scientific skepticism Edward will be shaken, and Lisi will grow up?
Well, ahem, how would you tell you without spoilers … there really is a detective here. And mysticism seems to live. At least a couple of times, it seems just like that, but … this is not the point. Because Draugen is, first of all, a personal story, within which the protagonist, together with the satellite and the player, will look for answers in order to ultimately encounter brutal truth and find himself, separating reality from fantasies and hallucinations. That is, it should be so. But in fact, the script is trying to convince the protagonist and gamers that life on the border between the present world and the phantasmagoria of the creature of the subconscious is also a choice. At least such a life may be a choice for someone who is forced to experience the tragedy in isolation and loneliness. All. I can’t say more, because I already slightly broke the intrigue.
And now let’s talk about what is not so with the story of Edward’s walk with Alice in the Norwegian tropinochki and fjords. I warn you in advance that in the text below the game will not be so good for nuts for the script, graphics, and even gameplay. Why am I such a hater? Because it is not Hater, but a critic who would not say anything, if the game is a meaningless dummy. But no, I feel the potential with whom they seemed to try to do something, but what happened came out. Thank you, Norwegians, for as if an intriguing and seemingly colorful set of tails of past ideas! A? What? Want specific comments? Please!
Firstly, the plot is collected from cliches, that is, actually devoid of intrigue. Therefore, albeit not immediately, but shortly after landing to the shore and start of attempts to find Betty, something happens. And this something more than clearly hints about what kind of darkness we keep the way. However, these are my feelings when, in theory, we must directly be confused, lost in conjecture, or vice versa, to feel in the native element of your favorite topic. But there are no comrades to the taste and color of the comrades, therefore, if you are a fan of this kind of turn, I congratulate you, you found your game, but I was not lucky. Because in my eyes the Norwegians exchanged a puzzle for the plague of a broken soul sheltered by foggy.
